Downtown Brownlee

Cars hurry down the street in World War II era "Downtown" Brownlee Nebraska. Never paved, the streets in Brownlee once served as the place where locals went for all their daily goods and services. The rise of the automobile and improved roads rendered the town redundant and effectively sounded its death knell.
