I had some random pictures on my camera and took a few more of the snowfall tonight, so I put them in an album for everyone to see. The first two are a couple of pictures of a big buck deer in the backyard at Thanksgiving time. We saw him along with 6 or 7 more over Christmas.
Then, during the Christmas blizzard of '09, we had a porcupine who, in very un-porcupine like fashion ventured out during the days, supposedly scrounging for some food. It was funny to see the dozen or so wild turkeys who have also taken up residence in the back yard follow him around pretty much everywhere he went. He didn't seem too pleased about it, but they were at least smart enough to keep some distance. I would too, if I were them!
Finally, I have a handful of pictures taken from my apartment tonight during the snowstorm. The snow is coming down even harder now than it was when I took these shots. First, looking off to the southeast:
Then the southwest:
Finally, I took a few out my west windows. Two to the northwest and one to the southwest.
That's it! Happy New Year, and stay warm!!!
