I got to Duluth just before sunset and so I was able to capture a few shots of Lake Superior before it got dark.
Sunrise over the lake next morning.
My trusty little car - which doubled as a camper on this trip.
The Rainy River. I'm not in Ontario here, but you can see it! O, Canada!
By the time I got to Grand Forks, it was about 95 degrees and a straightline southerly wind. I turned directly into the wind in North Dakota and drove into the wind for about 8 straight hours. It was murder on my gas mileage, knocking it down from 40 mpg to about 25!
It was a short trip, but lots of fun! Stay tuned for an even bigger adventure in the upcoming months!
